Often known as the best part of plant, with many handles such as Trichomes, Keef, Dust, Chief, Cannabis Crystals, Shake etc.

It is the part of the plant that gets falls off of the harvested cannabis buds, made up of resinous tips, sugar leaves, broken-off trichomes, and chunks of flower / bud.

The buds are put through a tumbler and the accumulated, fallen, trichomes, or resin glands, that are separated from cannabis flowers using a mesh screen or sieve are known as kief.

Cannabis’ distinctive terpenes and cannabinoids are secreted by trichomes as a sticky resin.

Kief, which are concentrated resin glands, are a strong variety of cannabis.

Processing our Kief

The sifter drum that we use here at My-Grasshopper Dispensary can filter anything from a single gram of material to more than a pound in a single run.

Over 40 pounds can be processed per cycle operated by the Model KT-4000.

The Kief Thief is made to delicately remove the plant resins, or trichomes, from your preferred starting material(we use top shelf bud) without changing or harming those resins’ sensitive qualities.

The Payoff

Depending on the raw material, our kief tumbler typically yields between 10% and 25%.  After the buds go through the tumblers and trichomes are gently removed and sifted through a screen, then collected into a pan….

We then use the crystals to press into hash, coat rockets or moon rocks.

We are also one of the only dispensaries that offer strain specific kief and hash.
